Layers of carded, pre-felted, raw and plant dyed fleece are “painted” wool-on-wool and felted into a canvas sourced from Northern California flocks. INSIDE is a womb-like image, a sensory place, a non-conscious response to stimuli limited to touch. Touch is the first sense we humans develop, yet we start inside, floating and isolated in stasis, yet growing all the while.
