I · COUP D'ETAT

A New Order of Luxury

Founded in 2004 by Darin Geise, COUP D’ETAT emerged from a small storefront in San Francisco with an intent to challenge the traditional design showroom model.

Conceived as an amalgam of old and new, the gallery quickly became a destination for designers seeking rare antiques, curated vintage furniture, and distinctive contemporary work presented with a gallery sensibility.

III · In-house

A World of Our Own

In addition to its represented lines, COUP D’ETAT presents three in-house collections: COUP STUDIO, COUP STUDIO Fabrics, and COUP XX.

Shaped by Geise’s appreciation for historical design and contemporary craftsmanship, these collections extend the gallery’s point of view through original design, textiles, and a curated offering of vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces.
