The Caged Side Table” is hand-built in Shapiro’s studio using extruded and coiled Stoneware. It stands at nearly 22″ tall and serves as both a table and a lamp. The caged side table comes in two pieces—the cage and the table lamp that sits within it. On the side of the table, there is a switch that illuminates the globe beneath, creating a soft, under-lit ambient effect. This piece is part of a modular series that utilizes the same cage to house tables, planters, and lamps.
